When NDIS was introduced Byron Shire Respite Service made the decision to become a registered provider, not from a business stance but from a continuity of care point of view. This is a great source of pride in the organisation.

According to Dementia Australia (2023), an estimated 29,000 Australians live with younger onset dementia. People in their 30s, 40s and 50s benefit from community access and social inclusion provided by our service.

As a registered NDIS provider, our service supports people with younger onset dementia and disabilities living in both residential care and the community.

We offer one-on-one or group-based activities, to support independent living through assisting with daily activities, social interaction, and community engagement. This can include in-home support, community access, respite and group programs.
